My Simple Woman Daybook

FOR TODAY... November 11, 2008

Outside my window... The world continues to live, as I sit her sluggish and wanting to go back to sleep.

I am thinking... Of little niece today. It's her 9th birthday. She is so funny and sassy like her mama!

From the learning rooms...Abby hasn't started school yet. It's a little untidy.

From the kitchen...A mess of dishes await my arrival....

I am wearing...My Tommy Pajama's with Nautica sweat pants.

I am creating...Scrabble Charm Necklaces.

I am going...To go buy some diapers from walmart, and maybe some hair dye.

I am reading...Skin by Ted Dekker.

I am hoping...that later I will be able to take a nice long nap.

I am hearing...Josiah whining about being in his swing.

Around the house...It is cold. I need to go light my candles and put the heater out there.

One of my favorite things...I love eating a bowl of ice-cream and drinking a hot cup of coffee.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Church on Wednesday, Abby's dentist appointment early Thursday Morning in Las Cruces.

Here is my picture thought I am sharing...

This is a picture of Abby a couple of weeks before Christmas. She is 3 in this picture. The reason I posted this picture is because it reminds me of a couple different things. I look at pictures of Abby now and it seems like over the past year she has just grown up so much. Maybe it's because she became a big sister or maybe it's just a growth spurt. Either way she has grown up so much during this past year. At this time in the picture I was about 3 months pregnant. I was glowing with excitement and joy as I carried my son around inside of me. We had prayed for so long to have another one and now I have a very happy and very healthy 4 month old son.
Time goes by so quickly and our lives are but a vapor in the wind. People are always rushing and are too busy to savour the little moments in life because they don't even notice them. I think we all need to slow down. Sit down, dig out some pictures, remember and then laugh or cry at the memories. Be thankful for the time you have right now with your husband or with your children. Cherish them, cherish your friends and savour the moments.
