Abby is being homeschooled this year. She is in K-4, and before I started homeschooling her, I decided to turn our guest bedroom into her classroom. Well since september she has been doing her school work in the dining room area (more of a breakfast nook). Her artwork and letters are displayed on the closet doors that cover our washer and dryer. Her USA map is on the wall along with her other charts, and you see all of this when you first walk in to the house. I am proud of my daughters hard work , but when we have guest over I have to take it all down and then put all back when they leave. So over the past months, we have been cleaning out the "classroom to be" and we were suppose to have a yard sale, but that didn't happen. Instead we packed things up and put them in the shed. But today! Today we made progress. We began to paint. We did Brown and Blue. Brown is carried throughout my house and I love this color combination. Well we didn't finish, we ran out of paint. But it doesn't bother me a bit because I KNOW we will get it done. It is beautiful to feel like you accomplished something, especially when you do it as a team. Now, I love being lazy(just ask my big sister), but it feels so good once you are done doing the hard work and seeing what you got accomplished. To me that is beauty.

I so agree! I love feeling accomplished at the end of the day, but I also like to veg and do nothing. If only that accomplished feeling would do more to kick me in the tush!
You're not lazy!...anymore. =] Hey, when people come over - you shouldn't have to take it all down. It is your home and you LIVE there. As long as your place is neat and clean (which I KNOW yours is) then it's fine. Most people would even think it's great.
