Beauty-5- Growing Up

Abby and her cousin

Abby will be five years old in February. I can't believe it. This picture was taken around the 4th of July. That was just this past summer and now this is what she looks like.
Abby at Christmas with her new baby cousin.
She's not just grown physically, but she has gotten so much smarter. She started homeschool this year and let me tell ya, this girl makes it easy for me. She pays attention, she participates and she LEARNS!!! She is doing cursive writing and she can read anything with a short vowel blend. She can count to like 40 and she can add and subtract. Did I mention she has decided to learn her 50 states and memorize where they all are??? My daughter simply amazes me. She isn't as stubourn and strong willed like she was when she was 3 years old. She is loving and outgoing. She is creative and sincere. Okay, and she can be a little bossy and controling (leadership right?) But you know what... She is a beautiful little girl. I pray she will stay that way. She cares about doing what is right and she loves to pray and learn about God. She adores her baby brother and she is a wonderful help.
My husband gets choked up whenever he hears a song about the Daddy's girl growing up and getting married. But I think it's beautiful. I enjoy seeing her grow and learn. I'm sure one day I'll look back and say " I wish she was 4 again" but for right now I'm enjoying seeing her get excited about everything around her. I'm enjoying her innocence. I'm enjoying her BEAUTY!

She is a great little girl! I feel like I know her so well from keeping in touch with you. Then when we were there after Thanksgiving I said hi to her like she should know me. What a dummy! It made me step back and realize that not everyone in caught up in the cyber social life. She was nice anyway and said hi back to me!

I know what you mean about Daddy's and their daughters. My husband is the same way if I mention anything about Vivi growing up. I myself am more tied into knots about how much older Aidan's getting.. something about my boy becoming an adult chokes me up more than my daughter.
