$74.18??? What did I freakin' buy?
Okay. So I was trying to do my Beauty challenge but I just couldn't because all I can think about is how much I spent on facial cleanser and moisturizer!!! Yah, you read correctly. Now I do have to say that it is all organic and I do love it, but HELLO!!!! This is how it all began..... My friend Kacie has her own Natural Spa Shop. I like to go there and get my nails done or my toes and one time a even got a facial. Well, I loved the facial. I loved the product and I loved how my skin felt all day and the next. She gave me a little sample of the moisturizer lotion, I used it for about 3 days. WEll I talked to Miguel and I was mentioning how I really liked the product and maybe it is a good idea to start buying better quality products for my skin. I mean, after all it is my face and he'll have to see it everyday for the rest of his life. Plus, I've already began noticing my skin changing and it is extremely dry, and looking kind of old.*scarey* So he agreed and told me that if it wasn't ridiculously expensive I could start buying some things. The next church service, I was talking to Kacie and saying that I would eventually like to start using the Madlyn Rose products (EVENTUALLY) The day I went for my facial I had her write some products down for me and the prices. Okay, not too bad. Eventually will eventually come around. Well last week she came into church a little late. We just started singing and she hands me this little gift bag. "here I brought this so you can get started on some of the products" "OOOhhh , *mmm* thanks. How much do I owe you"? "ahhh, as she tosses her hand at me", so I thought maybe she is giving it to me as a gift, but i'm not sure and ask again. "well, let me know how much it is later and I'll pay you when I can" "okay."
I go home and I'm looking at the paper she gave me with the prices and the cleanser is $26.50, not bad. Then I look for the moisturizer. Hhhmmm I can't find it. It's not on there. Well it can't be that much, maybe $25.00 $30.00! NOPE! I saw her tonight and asked how much everything was and my jaw dropped! The moisturizer alone was almost $50 bucks. Oh no! my skin is not worth that much! But I had already been using it, So I can't give it back...... ughhhh... Miguel is going to kill me. I was so mad at myself for not waiting for her to actually tell me the total. Boy, Lesson Learned. I told Miguel and he said it was okay. He was a little bugged because I did just spend like $70.00 in Bare Escentuals Mineral make up. I'm still in shock. Again. I love the product. I just don't think my skin is worth that much money, expecially when you don't have that kind of money to be spending!!!!
Now you know how much Beauty in a bottle cost! When I'm done with it I better have skin like Josiah's hiney!
*just so you know. If it were a pair of really great shoes. It would have been worth it, but LOTION!

I think your face is worth it. It will last you a long time if you use it right. Keep track. Oh and um...it's cheaper than golf and it is YOUR face. ;]
no... no no no! who cares it's your face. lol i would never spend that much on cleanser and moisturizer!! not for that small either. hahaha you can always find stuff just as good for cheaper, you just have to look... oh sis, don't be scared of getting old... you are still beautiful. and yes, if it were a pair of shoes-SO WORTH IT! =)
This post is too funny. And what matters is, does it make you FEEL great? (Because to be honest your skin looks pretty darn young to me so I can't imagine you needing to worry too much about aging or anything) I can't say I wouldn't have guilt pangs about such a purchase but if you feel great every time you use it.. well then it's worth it.
I'm always worried about what to say to Kacie when she asks me about buying some of her products cause I know it costs so much. And you are beautiful.
