Where does time go? I know everyone says that when thier little one is growing up and getting to the next big milestone in thier lives, but really where did it go? Thankfully I captured a lot of it on video. and pictures. It amazes me to see the many changes that take place in that single year. From her looks to her personality. But there are always a few things that remain the same, and I pray that they never will change.
One thing about Abby that I love is her heart. She cares for others and really thinks about them. She humbles me when I hear her pray on her own before a meal or before bedtime when she is by herself. She prays for her family, she prays for the sick people in church, she prays for a healthy baby and she thanks Jesus for dying on the cross for our sins. She has a heart that is willing to help others. She wants to do something to cheer them up. She's always making cards or pictures.
I don't get down often but when I do she can usually tell and she will go over and do all that she can to put a smile on my face. Most the time she will come and say mom watch me and she'll turn around and shake her little bootie! Then she checks to see if i'm smiling. It works all the time. I love that about her.
I love that she gets things mixed up, like instead of saying inside out, she says inside outside! Sometimes she will come up to me and wrap her little arms around me and say "mommy, you are the best mommy" or she'll say to her dad "we're buddies, right"? She loves us and wants to please us and I hope that never changes.
My Abby is a lot of fun! She invents these games like Clock to Clock. That's when you take turns deciding on where we are going to eat, or if we will take the Bronco or the Pilot. We play Hiney Grabber, and this is silly but so much fun. We all stand in my bedroom or living room and we have to try to grab the others hiney and you scream and say "Ahh there's a hiney grabber in town" She loves pillow fights. She has a game that she plays with her Papo when he comes to visit. it's called Mad Gab, but the rules are different. You grab a card and you have to do what the card says. "give papo 2 wet willies" of course you make up whatever you want. She loves music and actually sings very well! She loves off roading with her daddy, or just going to the bank with him so she can get a lollipop!
I could go on and on. I just don't want to ever forget these moments. KWIM? I want to give her as many kisses as I can, I want to hug her as tight as I can and I want to tell her I love as often as I can. Because I don't know how long I will have her or she will have me, I leave that up to God. But I don't want to waste a moment with her. I want to treasure them and remember them.
Soon she will be 4, getting ready to start school (homeschool) and I look forward to watching her for that next year grow even more. But she will never be 3 again. She will never be exactly the same. I thank God daily for her. She is such a blessing and such a joy. I'm thankful that He chose me to be her mother.
