Well for months now I have been planning our v-day banquet for our church. This year we went with a Tropical theme. I bought all the decorations and set it up. We were expecting about 30-35 people, 29 showed up. We had Sweet and Sour Pork and Chicken, beef and chicken scews, rice and salad. Dessert was chocolate brownies, ice cream, 2 upside down pineapple cakes and v-day cookies. It was AWESOME!!! So YUMMY! So we got everything set up, I had 3 games planned and I hung a kissing fish in the middle of the room. Whoever stould under it had to kiss their spouse. It was a lot of fun. The stressful part was the skit and the song. I wrote the skit this year and I sang "when you say nothing at all" and my dh played the guitar. We messed up a little on the skit but it went really well, the same with the song. Overall it was a successful night. Everyone had a great time. The funny thing is, it started snowing outside on our tropical night!!! Crazy! It has been in the 60's all week, until tonight!
Now I can take a breather and relax. You know, I was so stressed that my eyelid kept twitching for like two days. As soon as it was over, it stopped!
WEll it's late and I need to catch up on some sleep!

Esther, It looks great. I really want to go with a themed banquet one of these days where the people have to dress according to the theme too. Wouldn't that be fun?
