Abbys day at the Dr.'s!

Today Abby had an appointment to go get her vaccinations and her 4year health exam. She wasn't really nervous, and if she was she didn't show it. When we got there, they measured her and took her weight. She really enjoyed this, she felt like a big girl! Then we went into the princess room and waited for the Dr. to come in. Abby hopped up on the little table and waited... Then Dr. C came in and greeted us. She was very nice and in my opinion a good Dr., anyhow, she asked Abby some different questions and they chatted. Abby was acting so grown :) She had a hearing test done and a eye exam, she did really well. Then Dr. C asked her to draw a few things, a circle, a square... simple stuff. Then she asked her to draw a picture of your mommy. I knew this would be easy for Abby because she draws all the time. So she draws me with a bow in my hair, a big round tummy, feet, ears, eyebrows and all! The Dr. was impressed "she is really advanced, this is a drawing that a 5 or 6 year old would do"
But after all the fun and easy stuff, came the ouchy stuff. She had to get 5 shots. 2 in her right thigh, 1 in her left thigh, 1 in her right arm, and 1 in her left arm, and a finger prick for iron.... guess what?

She didn't cry! Not a single tear! The nurse and the Dr. was impressed. I was so proud of her. She was so brave and did so well. They let her pick out a sticker, and she got a bag with crayons, toothbrush, coloring book, and a story book. She was so excited. and I was the proud Mama.
She just continues to amaze me.
So I decided that I would post a picture that she drew of our family. What's funny is sometimes she is even more detailed. It's amazing to watch her as she thinks about different things to add.
God has blessed me with such a smart child. I am so thankful!

That's a keeper. I hope you bought a great frame and put that up in the house. Matted. Love it.
