Where do I even begin? About two weeks ago we took a trip out to Washington for my little sister's wedding. To be honest I wasn't totally looking forward to going. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my family but sometimes things are just "nicer" from a distance. My parents have a 3 bedroom home and there was 20 people staying there! So, yes I was a little bit apprehensive about our stay. HOWEVER, I had a wonderful time! For the most part everyone got along great and the wedding was beautiful. But the best part was getting to reunite with family. Abby got to play with her cousins, Josiah got to be cuddled by her grandparents and her aunties and I got to eat all the korean food I wanted!
It was about a 21 hour drive from New Mexico to Washington. Abby watched her movies almost the whole time and Josiah slept almost the whole time and that was a blessing.
My mom cooked non stop! I felt so bad for her because I knew she was so tired. Korean food is not easy to make and that's probably why it taste so good. As my mom would say "it's made with love".
My dad didn't have to work some of the days, so we got to spend time with him and that was special.
We took our time on the way home and we stopped at the Sweets quality Candy factory and had a tour of the factory! We bought a ton of candy and it's the best we've ever had. We went to the worlds largest dinosaur museum in Salt Lake City and our final stop was Ikea (that was my favorite)
We came home safe even though both of my children have colds, it was well worth it. I actually miss Washington. I miss my family being under one roof. I miss my little nephew Marco eating the dog food. I miss smelling and eating all the yummy korean food. I miss seeing my big sister hold my new little son. I miss laughing together. I miss the chaos. I miss the hugs and the kisses. I miss the late nights. I miss all those special moments that rarely happen.
I miss home.....
