What would it be like to not be in the ministry? To be honest, I do wonder from time to time. Don't get me wrong, I love serving God, I love seeing the people of our church grow spiritually, but at the same time it is so frustrating. People in general are frustrating. You know, I often think about Jesus and when he went to go pray on the mountain and when He came down everyone was asleep. Accept for God, Jesus was always alone. Physically His disciples where with Him but many times over they failed Him. He proved that the ministry can be hard and frustrating. Yes, I know that it is also very rewarding. There are many wonderful things about the ministry. Seeing people get saved and change their lives around is one of the most rewarding things.
As a Pastor's Wife, I find myself struggling to trust others. I find it difficult to invest in people and not because I don't want to trust them or love them. But it is so hard to find loyal people. Loyalty is something I believe in with my whole heart. Loyalty to God, to your family, to your country, to your friends and to your Pastor.
But even Jesus struggled with people being loyal. People that walked with Him daily and listened to His preaching. Oh, they said they were loyal and trustworthy, they said that they loved Him, but when push came to shove and it was time to prove themselves, they failed.
I know often I fail Him. I try, but I continually fail Him. I am so thankful that He is more forgiving and loving than we humans are. and I guess this is why the ministry is difficult. You HAVE to keep on loving and investing. Regaurdless of the outcome.... that's what true love is isn't it????

I'm sorry that you have been hurt. If you need anything...
Love You!
Thanks! I'm not really "hurt" just... scared of being hurt, i guess. You know what I mean :)
What? Do you need Bon Qui Qui to come over ther fix somethin'? Girl... I will. I can even call "Sec-er-u-tee"
Love you, Sis.
hahaha! you're so funny Sherry.
No nothings really going on, just thinking out loud about some things.
I guarantee that you are echoing so many others... I remember thinking the same things. It seemed the people who "love you most" are the ones who turn the most vicious. Ondray and I always said the "death toll" for a church members loyalty was when they started buying you large extravagant presents and telling people how much they love you. That's when we knew their days were numbered...
You are Miguel are doing great - All that you need is Miguel, Abby, and JoJo - everyone else is just "icing".
How true!
