The Simple Woman's Daybook

For Today...

Outside my Window...It is cold and rainy, which reminds me that fall is here in New Mexico

I am thinking... that it would be nice to get some scrapbooking done.

From my learning room... Abby is doing her homeschooling. Right now she is doing her phonics and reviewing her vowels.

I am thankful for... my quiet home. Abby is studying, Josiah is sleeping and my dh is off working to make some extra money.

From the kitchen...there are just a few dishes waiting to be washed, and the countertops are clean with the exception of the chicken breasts that need to be stuffed and cooked for lunch.

I am wearing...a pair of Nautica sweat pants that my little sister gave me,a orange stretch long sleeve shirt and my black crocs.

I am reading... an excerpt from a Ted Dekker book, Skin. I just ordered this book and am looking forward to reading it.

I am hoping... my chicken will come out the right way and taste oh so yummy.

I am creating...a digital scrapbook and some music cd's.

I am hearing...lullabies playing from my sons swing, Abby's teacher teaching and the clicking of the keys on my keyboard.

Around the house... my bed needs to be made, laundry needs folding and dishes need washing. There's a fragrance of melons and vanilla that drift throughout the house leaving a cozy and warm feeling.

One of my favorite things...is staying at home and relaxing.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...Abby has soccer practice tonight and this Saturday she has a game. I have a ladies brunch to prepare for on Saturday at our church. I need to go through all our stuff and put prices on them to sale at our yard sale.

What are you stuffing your chicken with? When did you start digi scrapping? Where's your picture thought for the day? Love your blog.

actually my chicken wasn't stuffed. I decided to wrap it with biscuit dough and put cheese inside with the chicken. It came out really good.
I haven't actually started to digi scrap yet. I'm trying to learn. but it's a lot harder than i thought and it takes patience for things to load. I forgot the picture thought for the day... shucks.
