I've been asked by two people to give devotions in the next couple of weeks. One is to a group of teen girls and the other are to a group of adult women.
I've really been praying and reading my Bible and I keep coming back to the same topic.
What is the quality level of your spirit? I'll be speaking to the Adult Ladies about this.
I know that there are so many proclaimed Christians out there, but the quality of the spirit is poor. I think about when I go shopping and how, the price may be high, and it may even be a high end name brand but when I look over the item, I come to realize that the quality of that item is not worth the price.
I began to examine my own life. My own spiritual life. What quality is my spiritual life? And I realized that there are area's that I've allowed to get tattered.
I also come to the example of using two bottles of water. One is filtered bottle water and the other is toilet water.
They're both in the same container, both are made of H2O, both have the same exact appearance. But if you were to test one water against the other, you will find that one is purer and drinkable, the other is not.
We need to filter our lives. We need to cautious about the things we think are OKAY, and take a closer look at whether or not it pleases or displeases God.
I don't live for others approval, but I do live for God's! If I'm pleasing Him then my life is as it should be. I won't just have the appearance of a Christian but I will actually be living, walking, and breathing it.
So I challenge anyone who reads this, Be honest with yourself, test yourself against the Word of God and if there is anything in your life that is polluting your Spiritual Life, get rid of it. Filter those things out of your life. In the end you will be of greater use to God, to your family, and to yourself.

I love these thoughts, and I think you'll do a great job leading both devotions. I'll be praying for you!
Wow. These are great thoughts and so true. I love the bottle of water idea. I am definitely going to use that comparison with my teens eventually. Love you sis.
Hello! I love your post. I am going to be thinking now, "What is the quality of my spirit?" When I was younger, I used to think a lot in terms of ministry with a capital M. I know that's important, but now I am much more focused on my character with a capital C. I want to be a woman of integrity and have a spirit of high quality. What a wonderful way to put it. Thank you for sharing this.
