August 2 was my 30th birthday. I keep thinking to myself how blessed I truly am. I mean, here I am, Married for almost 8 years, getting ready to have our third child, we have a beautiful cozy home, a nice vehicle, family that lives near by, we're serving God with our lives and two cute yorkie's! What more is there? If you would have asked me at the age of 18 what I thought my life would be like in 10+ years, this is not what I had in mind. But it's completely what God had in mind and I'm glad that I chose His path over my own.
For my birthday my husband has made plans to stay the night in Rio Doso for a night free of children :) I heard that it's so beautiful there and that they have a lot of really cool shops. I'm also secretly hoping to get a good massage!
Then there is a elderly couple in our church that has adopted my husband and me as their own children. They take us out to eat every Sunday afternoon and they just spoil us and our kids. So for my birthday they bought a small cake, and we went out to eat with my family and some friends. It was a lot of fun and I was soooo full!
My sister Tabitha and her hubby bought a cute pajama outfit for our little girl and also gave me some B&BW lavender body scrub! I love that stuff!
Tonight we drove out to San Antonio NM to meet my Mother and Father In Law at a restaurant called Buckhorn. It's more of a bar/restaurant and it's not fancy at all. The cool thing about it, Bobby Flay actually went there to challenge the owner to a throwdown. The challenge was green Chile cheeseburgers and Bobby Flay lost! It took us about thirty minutes to be seated and then about another thirty just to get our drinks and food! But boy was it worth it. That Cheeseburger was the best Burger I have ever tasted. The waitress said that ever since Bobby Flay came and it aired on TV that the restaurant has been so busy that sometimes they even have to close in the day time for like an hour and a half because they run out of food! My In-laws bought a small cake and gave me some money to spend on whatever! We had such a good time as always. So all in all turning thirty isn't so bad :)
