How My Garden Grows!

One of the great things about living in Michigan is that the ground is so fertile! In New Mexico the ground is so hard and dry, plus it doesn't rain often.  But Here in Michigan it is humid and rains often, but the sun is shining as well. I wish I could say I planted these myself, but I didn't. In fact I know nothing of gardening. I wish I did. I wish I had a green thumb but I don't.  My Neighbor, who we rent from, planted these in our yard for us so we could enjoy them. I am so thankful for this because I want to eat as much organic as possible. Not to mention how convenient it is to have it all right there in your own back yard. I've already used the basil, cilantro, chives and a little of the lettuce (they're not full yet) I have no idea what to do with all that dill. It really grows all crazy! Abby loves smelling it because it smells like Pickles :)  Looking forward to making some fresh salsa and try to find some great recipes for the eggplant.
Here are my Organic Romaine Lettuce and Tri color Lettuce
Here are a few different types of Basil
Brussels Sprouts (I am most excited about seeing these grow)
 Cherry Tomtatoes
 Plenty of Eggplant
 Dill
 Chives (I need more chives)
 Cilantro!!!!
 Hydrangea's
My Hydrangea's in a Mason Jar
Aren't they so pretty. They remind me of summer.

Oh.my.word. When I read the title, I thought you meant figuratively speaking. haha. But no, you are speaking of a real garden! =) You should really research the different things that are growing so that you can care for it properly. Even the stuff that grows all free and wild need to be pruned back in a certain way so that they can grow fully. I love dill - I use it a lot in cold, creamy pastas. Also in cold chicken/tuna salads. Yum. The hydrangeas are stunning. Just lovely. You are so blessed. Oh, and one of my favorite vegetables is the brussel sprouts.
